Journal History
The Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Structures Engineering Research, currently published by the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute (AERI) as a scientific-research journal, is one of the specialized journals derived from the former Journal of Agricultural Engineering Research.
The establishment of this specialized journal was based on the request No. 249/7553 dated 17 February 2019 submitted by the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, proposing the separation of the former journal into three specialized journals in the fields of agricultural mechanization, food industries, and irrigation and drainage structures.
This separation was approved under approval No. 81671/18/3 dated 22 July 2015 issued by the Office of Research Policy and Planning of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, granting scientific-research status to the specialized journals.
The former Journal of Agricultural Engineering Research had been published since 1996 for nearly three decades and provided the scientific community with numerous research articles in the field of agricultural engineering.
